2001 New Years Wellie Race
Another great success for the Castlecomer 2001 New Year’s wellie race. Last year £12,550 was donated to local charities with this year expected to break records. This years event was opened by Mr. Ian Wilson.

Tourism Ireland
The marketing plans for the 2002 tourism season will be outlined at the Newpark Hotel on January 6th at 6.30pm. Following the events of last year which culminated in the September 11th terror attacks and began with Foot and Mouth, members from Tourism Ireland and Bord Fàilte will detail their striking back strategy.

As another year begins and Kilkenny grows a little older and wiser we look forward to a prosperous year of goodwill and happiness.
