 Zoo owners Brendan & Tony
Morrissey opened their nightclub to rave reviews in October 2000, it's about as far away
from touring the World with their rock band My Little Funhouse, but the brothers agree it
is nearly as much fun. " We saw a huge gap in the Kilkenny market for an environment
where people who understand cool dance and alternative music can hang out and have a great
time". "we are not trying to compete with the other nightclubs, we're just doing
our own thing and hopefully we're coming up with the right formula,we have top Dj's from
radio stations like Kiss fm, and clubs such as The Pod and The Kitchen", said Brendan
owner of Zoo.
 The brothers have high hopes for
Kilkenny's only dance club. "Our aim is to make Zoo one of the hippest clubs in
Ireland,and as well as encouraging the dance culture , which has exploded in a very big
way in Ireland, we will also use the club to introduce new musical flavours to Kilkenny,
such as R&B and also the best live acts each week".
