Cafe Sol, William Street, Kilkenny.

Telephone 056-64987

Cafe Sol tucked away on William St is considered Kilkennys best kept secret. For the past three years it has been listed in Sally & John McKennes Bridgestone Guide to the 100 best Restaurants in Ireland. Run by Eavan Kenny & Eurotoque chef Gail Johnson it is a warm friendly restaurant serving delicious fresh food in a relaxed atmosphere. By day it is a bustling city centre cafe where you can indulge in morning coffee, afternoon tea or an early or late lunch. As evening draws in the lights are dimmed, the candles lit, the oil-cloths replaced with crisp table linen. The a la carte evening menu which is changed weekly offers an interesting choice of meat, vegetarian & fish dishes followed of course by delicious desserts.   .

Amongst it`s many acclaims lie articles from American magazine "Hibernia", "The Times", "The Bridgestone Guide" and a review from food critic Paolo Tullio.
